OBIT: Linda Frances Armistead, age 69, of Florida

ARMISTEAD, LINDA FRANCES, age 69, died Tuesday, October 11,2016, at Hospice of the Florida Suncoast North, after a short illness. Linda was born in Detroit, Michigan. After high school she attended college at Pratt Institute in New York. After graduation she moved to San Francisco California, where she worked as a graphic designer as well as was proprietor of 3 clothing stores in the Bay area. In the late 1980s she moved to Berea, Kentucky to care for her aging father. In 1990 she came to live in Clearwater, Florida, which remained her home until her death. Linda loved the Florida sunshine, gardening and home design projects. She worked full time at Best Buy as well and enjoyed interacting with people. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Waxenberg, of Albuquerque, NM, her sister Jessica (Susan) DeWolf and brother-in-law Marshall DeWolf of Asheville, NC, nephew Eric M.DeWolf, of Marietta, Ga., 1st cousin, William P Askew of Montgomery, Al., and by Percy, her adorable cat. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 7:00PM, Skycrest United Methodist Church, 2045 Drew St, Clearwater. 33765.
