TRUSTEE’S SALE WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of March, 2008, by deed of trust of record in the Register’s Office of Smith County, Tennessee in Record Book 187, Page 752, JOSEPH B. RANKIN and wife, REBECCA RANKIN, conveyed to WALTER G. Notice to bid The Smith County Board of Education is accepting bids for the purchase and removal of the portable classroom at Union Elementary School. The classroom was recently damaged, preventing it from being serviceable as a classroom. The unit will be sold by sealed bid and must be removed during fall break presently scheduled for October 14-21, 2016. The winning bidder will be required to further return the property to grade, and it will be seeded and sowed. Removal shall include any and all attachments, underpinning, decking, piers and utilities. The winning bidder must arrange all utility removal with the prospective provider to the dates of removal. Notice Smith County Landfill is taking sealed bids until 10 am November 1, 2016 for the purpose of leasing out to the successful bidder; Approximately 55 acres of bottom land for the purpose of some type of no till crops and 40 acres more or less for hay. The successful bidder will also be required to bush hog other areas of the landfill not suited for hay cutting. Interested bidders may make a site visit to view the areas to be leased by appointment. PUBLIC NOTICE 2017 Annual Agency Plan The South Carthage Housing Authority has developed it Annual PHA Plan that outlines its programs, strategy for housing needs, capital fund program, and administrative needs for fiscal year end 2017. The public is invited to review this plan and submit comments regarding any components of the Annual PHA Plan. Comments regarding the Annual Plan will be taken until September 30, 2016. A public hearing will be conducted commencing at 3:00 p.m. on September 20, 2016, at the main office of the South Carthage Housing Authority, at which time the Annual Plan and any comments thereto will be discussed. INVITATION TO BID TOWN OF CARTHAGE Construction of New 600,000 Gallon Water Tank This project consists of constructing a new 600,000 gallon, ground level, pre-stressed concrete tank, the removal of an existing 275,000 gallon welded steel tank, and the refurbishment of a 300,000 gallon concrete tank (as an add-alternate item). The improvements are for the Town of Carthage. The existing tanks shall remain in service at all times during the construction of the new tank. The construction and installation includes materials, labor, equipment and all other items necessary to complete the work. Each Bidder shall note that any request for interpretation regarding the plans, specifications or other bidding documents shall be received at least five (5) days prior (Friday, October 14, 2016) to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
