Mr. Michael Allen

Mr. Michael Allen, age 74, of Antioch in Metro Nashville died at 8 a.m. Monday morning October 21, 2019 at the Lebanon Health and Rehabilitation Center on Castle Heights Court where he had been cared for since March 27th of this year.

Mr. Allen was at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon October 24th with Bro. Steve Marcum officiating.

Following the 1 p.m. services burial was in the Allen family lot in the West section at Dixon Springs Cemetery.

He was the only child of the late Garrett Lee Allen who died at the age of 91 on August 25th, 2011 and Marguerite Taylor Allen who also died at the age of 91 on August 17, 2013, he was born Michael Taylor Allen in Nashville on March 9, 1945.

His parents were both Dixon Springs Community natives.

Michael was reared in Nashville near the Metro Airport.

A Vol fan for life, he was a lifelong Tennessean and retired from the former AVCO in Nashville (now Voit) as a supply clerk.

Mr. Allen was a 1963 graduate of Glencliff High School in Nashville.

His immediate survivors include two aunts, Christine Allen Woodard of Knoxville and longtime owner with her husband Harry T. Woodard of Woodard’s Service Station in Carthage,

Carolyn Taylor of Nashville; uncle, James Bell, also of Nashville; family friends, Pamela and Marc Boyd of La Vergne; cousins, Jane Woodard Hall and husband Jerry of Knoxville, Cara Woodard Richardson & husband Gary of Clarksville, Pattye Taylor Phillips and husband Matt Sr. of St. Louis, Betsy Welch and husband Jack of Franklin, TN, Julie Taylor of Knoxville; Kristen Wright and husband Andy, Amy McMahon and husband Kevin, Kim Richardson, Clay Welch and wife Mary, Taylor Welch and wife Megan, Nathan Welch, Brendan Phillips, Olivia Bates, Nolan Wright, Keegan McMahon, and Madelyn McMahon.
