OBIT: Mr. Louis Henry Gregory

Mr. Louis Henry Gregory, age 78, of Carthage, TN, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019.

Mr. Gregory was born March 7, 1941 in Pleasant Shade, TN, a son of the late Arlis Gregory and Sally Taylor Gregory. He was also preceded in death by Brothers; Frank Gregory and Brent Gregory and Sisters; Ethel Mai Gregory and Lucille Jones.

Mr. Gregory was a 1959 graduate of Smith County High School. He married Faye Bowman on September 9, 1961. Louis worked as a truck driver for thirty five years until his retirement in 1993, working the last ten years for Bilbrey Brothers Cattle Company. He was a lifelong farmer.

Mr. Gregory is survived by his Wife of 58 years; Faye Bowman Gregory of Carthage, TN. Two Sons; Kenny (Melanie) Gregory of Pleasant Shade, TN, and Ray (Jazanne) Gregory of Pleasant Shade, TN. Grandchildren; Warren (Stephanie) Gregory, Michael (Caitlin) Gregory, Ashton (Anthony) Murphy, and Marah (Jackson) Sledge. Great-grandchildren; Gavin Gregory, Emma Grace Murphy, Cael Gregory, James Gregory, Carter Murphy, and Raylan Sledge. Sister-in-Law; Geraldine Gregory of Smithville, TN. Mother-in-Law; Ruth Pauline Bowman of Carthage, TN.

Funeral Services for Mr. Gregory are scheduled to be conducted from the Carthage Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 3PM with Bro. Jimmy Gregory officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation with the Gregory Family will be at the Carthage Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Saturday from 1PM until 8PM and on Sunday from 9AM until 3PM.
