NOTICE OF AMENDMENT STATE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM The Tennessee Department of Transportation seeks comments on Amendment#174 to the 2023-2026 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). Amendment #174 is for Smith/Putnam Counties Project Number 23801040050 provides Fiscal Year 2025 Infrastructure for Rebuilding America, National Highway Freight Program, Highway Infrastructure Program, and State funding for the phases of the proposed project, PE-N (environmental studies), PE-D (Design) and Const (Construction). The estimated total project cost is $84,900,000. The termini for the 0.91-mile-long project on Interstate 40 is truck parking and bridges replacement over the Caney Fork River. The I-40 Welcome Center Improvement project will add a 12- bay truck parking expansion adjacent to the Welcome Center, replace twin bridges on I-40 adjacent to the Welcome Center, and update ramp acceleration and deceleration lengths to current standards. The project is to be managed and let to contract by TDOT. PUBLIC NOTICE SOUTH CARTHAGE HOUSING AUTHORITY Five-Year Action and Annual Agency Plan The South Carthage Housing Authority (SCHA) has developed its 2025 Annual PHA Plan outlining capital projects. This plan is found within the 5-Year Action Plan, which addresses the housing authority’s capital improvement and administrative needs from fi scal year 2025 to 2029. SCHA will conduct a public hearing at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the central offi ce. Key capital projects and management improvements will be topics to discuss in the 2025 Annual Performance Plan.
