Obit – Mr. Danny Andrews

Mr. Danny Andrews, age 75 of Lebanon, departed this life at his Crowell Lane home at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday evening April 23, 2025 with his family at his bedside. He was pronounced deceased by Alive Hospice of Lebanon at 11:06 p.m. They had been assisting the family with his care. Mr. Andrews was suffering from Pulmonary Fibrosis with which he was diagnosed December 30, 2024.

Bro, Glenn Denton, retired pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lebanon, officiated at the 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon funeral services from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Burial followed in the West Section at the Sanderson Cemetery in the Pleasant Shade Community with Russell Woodard, Ronnie Harris and Joe Matthews doing the eulogies. The song was by Torrie Ritts.

Born Danny Lawson Andrews in the Horseshoe Bend Community of Smith County on March 22, 1950, he was the third of seven children born to the late Aubrey Neal Andrews who died March 19, 1978 at the age of 51 and Dorothy Lene Christian Andrews who died March 20, 2002 at the age of 73.

Two brothers preceded him in death, Larry Neal Andrews who died at the age of 76 on March 4, 2024 and Ronald L. (Ronnie) Andrews who died at the age of 60 on March 7, 2015.

In Hartsville on June 14, 1978, Mr. Andrews was united in marriage to the former Wanda Gail Willis.

He was saved at the age of 16 and was of the Southern Baptist faith.

In 2008 Mr. Andrews retired with forty years of service from the Ross Gear Division of T. R. W. in Lebanon where he had been employed in the assembly department and where he began employment in June of 1968.

Surviving in addition to his wife Wanda of almost forty seven years are their two children, Phillip Andrews and wife Jenny of the Tuckers Cross Roads Community, Katie Andrews Wilson of Gainesboro; four grandchildren, Trinity Wilson, Willow and Raelynn Wilson and Colt Jones; a beloved fur baby, Reesey; two sisters, Bonnie Jones and husband Ronnie of Mount Juliet, June Andrews of Lebanon; two brothers, Howard Andrews, Jerry Andrews and wife Robin, all of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
