PUBLIC NOTICE The Town of South Carthage would like to notify residents that a short section of Main Street South—just south of the Carthage Church of God—will be closed beginning the second week of August. This closure is expected to last approximately three months and will allow for critical storm drain improvements designed to address persistent fl ooding in the area. In addition, a portion of the Rails-to-Trails walking track in the same area will also be closed during this time. However, the Highway 70 end of the walking track will remain open for approximately one mile. Please note that all homes and churches in the area willremain accessible throughout the project. PUBLIC NOTICE The Carthage City Council will meet Thursday, August 7th, 2025 at 6:00pm. There will be a police and admin workshop that will take place before the council meeting at 5:00 pm. There will also be a public hearing held before the council meeting at 5:45 pm in regards to budget amendment BA-20250711-2 regarding (2) water intake pumps.
