Obit – Mrs. Kathryn Johnson Trusty
Mrs. Kathryn Johnson Trusty age 96 of Mt. Juliet, TN went to be with the lord on December 5, 2025.
Mrs. Trusty was born April 29, 1929 in Gordonsville, TN daughter of the late Don Johnson and Myrtle Ballinger Johnson. She was preceded by husband Norman Trusty: sons: Charles “Butch” Trusty and Kenny Trusty: granddaughter, Kerry Jo Trusty. She worked as a nurse for 27 years, operating a heart/lung machine for Harris and Hardin Cardiovascular surgeons.
Her family was the most important thing in her life. She loved fixing meals for the family as often as possible and having everyone together. Her last thoughts were of them before she passed.
Mrs. Trusty is survived by son Kerry (Cookie) Trusty: grandsons, Bubba Trusty (Kathy), Chris Trusty (Lou), Brian Trusty (Kristy): granddaughters, Amy Castle (Jon), Amanda Wilson and great-granddaughters Katya Trusty, Kennedy Hammack, Aubrie Hammack: great-grandsons. Braydon Trusty and Dylan Trusty and special family Joyce Sincleir.
Mrs. Trusty was at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes where funeral services were conducted on Tuesday December 9, 2025 at 1 PM by Bro Rich Tiner. Interment followed in the Gordonsville Cemetery, Gordonsville, TN.
Mrs. Trusty’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 10 AM until service time at 1 PM.
