Obit – Mrs. Elizabeth Ann “Sal” Haynes
Mrs. Elizabeth Ann “Sal” Haynes, age 82 of Gordonsville, TN, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Mrs. Haynes was born May 20, 1943 in the Sykes Community of Smith County, TN, a daughter of the late John Hall and Nellene Crawford Hall. She was raised by her late grandparents; Lon and Kizzie Bennett Crawford. Sal was also preceded in death by Sister; Johnnie Sue Patrick and grandchildren; Hannah, Jack, and Eli Haynes.
Mrs. Haynes was a 1962 graduate of GHS. She married David Haynes. Sal was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gordonsville for over 60 years. She loved and cherished her family dearly.
Mrs. Haynes is survived by Husband; David Haynes of Gordonsville, TN. Children; Ricky D. (Joyce) Haynes of Atlanta, GA, Donita (Jeff) Herink of Cleveland, TN, and Mike (Jennifer) Haynes of Brentwood, TN. Grandchildren; Macy (Jake) Landry, Madison (Ethan) Lance, Austin (Kelsey Spelts) Herink, Emma Haynes, and Ansley Haynes. Great-grandchildren; Caroline Landry, Hayden Landry, and Bennett Lance. Brother; James (Shirley) Hall.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Haynes were conducted from First Baptist Church, Gordonsville on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 2PM with Bro. Jason Lohorn, Bro. Ray Gilder, and Bro. Brandon Patton officiating. Interment followed in the Gordonsville Cemetery with Bro. Ryan Rogers officiating.
The family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Youth Fellowship Center.
