Obit – Mr. Vern Hogan

Mr. Vern Hogan, age 85, of Hickman, TN, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. 

Mr. Hogan was born September 2, 1940 in Hickman, TN, a son of the late Henry Hogan and Lucille Neuble Hogan. Vern was also preceded in death by siblings; Clint Neuble, Sanders Neuble, Edward Neuble, Howard Junior Neuble, Benton Hogan, Colin Clyde Hogan, Margaret Hogg, and Frances Wright. 

Vern worked most of his life with the Rose Family on their farm. He also worked as a gravedigger with Bass Funeral Home, digging over 1200 graves by hand during that time. 

Mr. Hogan is survived by Sister; Ruth Haile of Hickman, TN. Brother; Bobby Joe (Annie Pearl) Hogan of Hendersonville, TN. Devoted nieces and great-niece; Darschell (Galen) Fish, Tammy Haile, and Shea Haile. Many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services for Mr. Hogan were conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 2PM with Steve Dowell officiating. Interment followed in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
