Obit – Mrs. Shannon Fairchild

Five days following her 78th birthday, Mrs. Shannon Fairchild a former resident of Lebanon, was called home at 4:50 a.m. Friday morning April 17, 2026 at the Smith County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carthage where she had made her home since April 8, 2024.

Mrs. Fairchild was at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home and is scheduled to be cremated at the Cumberland Family Services in Algood.

There are no services planned at his time.

Born Shannon Vinita England in Nashville on April 12, 1948, she was the third of four children, two daughters and two sons, born to late Joe Shannon England and Lorene Hooper England.

A daughter, Kellie Frazier preceded her in death at the age of 37 as did two brothers, Bernard England and Ronald England.

She was a 1966 graduate of the Dupont High School in Old Hickory and attended the Belmont College in Nashville.

On March 26, 1993 Mrs. Fairchild was united in marriage to Pine Bluff, Arkansas native, Richard Breece Fairchild. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2024 at the age of 83 following over thirty-one years of marriage.

The Fairchilds relocated to Lebanon in 2014 from Jocotopec, Mexico.

Mrs. Fairchild was a retired funeral attendant for the Dignity Funeral Home in Norman, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Fairchild was an Episcopalian and was a member of the Saint Matthews Episcopal Church in Aijic, Mexico. 

Survivors include her daughter, Jo Frazier Cruz and husband Jose of the Kempville Community; two sons, Lance Frazier and wife Catilin of Mentone, Alabama, Hutson Frazier and wife Jillan of Alexandria, Virginia; sister, Connie England Miller of Virginia Beach, Virginia; the father of her children, Gary Frazier of the Kempville Community; three step children, James Fairchild of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Marlo Fairchild Jenkins and husband Tim of Mount Juliet, Michael Fairchild and wife Delynn of Fairbanks, Alaska; five grandchildren.
