Obit – Mrs. Nancy Jean Lanier

Mrs. Nancy Jean Lanier, age 80 of Lancaster, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Mrs. Lanier was born April 6, 1946 in Atlanta, GA, a daughter of the late Eugene Brannon and Gladys Elizabeth Walls Brannon. She married James Jerry Lanier and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by Sons; Gregory Thacker and Todd Allen Thacker, and Grandson; Josh Sapp. Mrs. Lanier was saved at an early age at a Baptist church in Georgia. Mrs. Lanier enjoyed trout fishing and working in her flowers.

Mrs. Lanier is survived by Children; Candy (Jason) Montgomery and Robert Lance Lanier. Grandchildren; Taylor Thacker, Tyler Thacker, and Lance Gregory Lanier. Great grandchildren; Ava Sapp, Ayden Sapp, and three more great grandchildren. Siblings; Ricky Jones, Judd Jones, and Becky (Thad) Childers.

Graveside services and Interment for Mrs. Lanier were conducted on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 2PM at the Gordonsville Cemetery with Eld. Stephen Brooks officiating.

Family and friends gathered at the cemetery just prior to the 2PM graveside.
