DEVELOPERS BUY LAND; DOLLAR TREE EXPECTED
A tract of land located at the corner of Upper Ferry Road and Carthage Bypass is under development in Carthage.
Earlier this month, the 1.43 acre tract of land was sold to M&S Carthage LLC.
The project is being managed by RFM Development Company, located on Woodmont Boulevard in Nashville.
The new development is expected to be a Dollar Tree, according to officials.
The store should open the first of spring or around June of 2017, officials say.
When contacted, a representative with RFM Development declined to comment on the project.
In recent weeks, Eatherly Construction Company has been excavating the site to accommodate the construction of a more than 9,000 square foot building.
Eatherly Construction Company also cleared and landscaped the state right-of-way adjoining the project.
In terms of cash investments, the project is one of the larger retail developments to take place in Carthage in recent years.
