CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS CONTINUE
Christmas holiday celebrations continue this week.
• The 10th annual “Night of Lights” Christmas Parade will be held in Gordonsville on Saturday, December 3. The parade will begin at 5 p.m. Entry fee is a donated unwrapped toy for a boy or girl or donation of non-perishable food item. Donated items can be dropped off at city hall in Gordonsville. Donated items will be presented to the Smith County Help Center.
• December 2-4, a musical entitled Christmas on Main Street 1959 will be presented by the Smith County Fine Arts Center in the Hull Theatre (historic Smith County courthouse). The Christmas musical will feature Elaine Wilburn, Barbara Nixon Upchurch and Eddie Crook. Other musicians and vocalists will be performing in the musical. Show dates are 6:30 p.m., Friday, December 2; 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., Saturday, December 3 and 2:30 p.m., Sunday, December 4. Tickets are $12 and $15 and can be purchased at Smith County Drug Center in Carthage. All seats are reserved.
