SMITH COUNTY RESIDENT WINS LOTTERY JACKPOT
A Smith County man was among the 20 winners of the $420.9 million Powerball Jackpot.
Tony Collins was one of 20 co-workers at the North America Stamping Company, an automotive-related company located in Portland.
According to lottery officials, the jackpot was the ninth largest in Powerball history with a cash value of $254.7 million (lump sum) which the winners selected, receiving equal payments.
The winning ticket was purchased at The Smoke Shop located on Scottsville Road in Lafayette near the Macon County Co-op.
