MAN ROBBED IN BOGUS BREAKDOWN

A man trying to assist an individual he thought had car trouble was assaulted and robbed.

The incident occurred in the 200 block of Rome Road in the Dixon Springs community.

The victim was driving down his driveway in the 200 block of Rome Road when he noticed a small black car (possibly a KIA) backed into the entrance to a neighboring residence at 216 Rome Road.

A white female with brown hair approached the victim saying “her car needed to be jumped off”, according to a report filed by sheriff’s department Sgt. Dusty Hailey.

“The victim pulled up next to the woman’s vehicle when a white male, slender build, approximately five feet eleven inches tall got out of the vehicle to help,” according to the report.

“Another white male remained in the driver’s seat.

While the victim was connecting the battery cables, the male subject deflated his rear tire by sticking a knife into it.
