NYRSTAR JOB FAIR FRIDAY
Nyrstar, which is expected to be in full production by this fall at its Middle Tennessee zinc mines (Gordonsville, Carthage and Elmwood), continues to add employees.
The zinc mining company is holding a job fair at the Chamber of Commerce on Upper Ferry Road in Carthage.
The job fair will be held in the community room and run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., Friday.
In addition to underground miners, employees for a number of positions are being sought including electricians, mechanics, maintenance techs and heavy equipment operators.
In January, a company official told the Courier work to re-start production at the three mines was on schedule.
