3 FOUND IN STOLEN VEHICLE

Two people face theft of property and other charges after being discovered on Beasleys Bend Road in a stolen vehicle. The investigation began when Deputy Nathan Williams stopped a red Pontiac Vibe around 50 Beasleys Bend Road after the driver abruptly pulled into a residence. According to Deputy Williams’ offense report, three occupants were inside the vehicle. The driver exited the vehicle and walked up to a front porch of a residence and knocked on the door, according to the report. After being questioned by the deputy, the driver said he was at the residence “looking for a friend”.

When the deputy checked the vehicle’s registration, it had been reported stolen from Gallatin, according to the deputy’s report. Also, the driver of the vehicle was driving on suspended license, according to the deputy’s report. Three individuals, two males and a female, traveling in the vehicle were transported to the sheriff’s department for further investigation. Once inside the jail, a bag containing a crystal like rock substance which field tested positive for meth and weighed 1.2 grams was located on one of the individuals.
