DICKERSON RESIGNS AS SCHS FB COACH

Mike Dickerson has relinquished his football head coaching duties at Smith County High School.

Dickerson, a Smith County High alum, announced his decision Monday morning.

The Owls ended their 2018 season last Friday night when they fell to the Red Bank Lions in the first round of the TSSAA (Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association) high school football playoffs.

Dickerson had a 33-34 overall record as the head coach of the Black-and-Gold.

His best season at the helm was in 2017 when the Owls advanced to the quarterfinals and compiled a 9-4 record.
