PUBLIC NOTICE The Smith County Planning Offi ce will hold a public hearing before the County Commission Meeting at the Smith County Ag Center Large Room, 159 Ag Center Lane, Carthage, TN 37030 on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Kurt Bass presented a request on behalf of BDGR Landholding LLC to rezone (3) parcels located on Dixon Springs Highway (further described as Map 46A, Group B, Parcels 001.00, 004.00, 005.00) from R-C (Residential Commercial) to C-1 (Commercial). Bass stated that the purpose of the rezoning is to have the ability to construct a self-storage facility on the properties. At the December 18 Planning Commission meeting, the motion to recommend the approval of this request to the County Commission was brought forth and passed. The County Commission must approve this rezoning before the property in question can be changed to C1. All interested parties are invited to attend. BID NOTICE The Town of Carthage Water Treatment Plant is accepting bids for the replacement of (2) two 60 HP vertical turbine high service pumps. Motors must be VFD compatible and include approximately 17 ft vertical turbine pump shaft. Bids should include all parts and labor to complete replacement.
