Extra, extra
If only for one Saturday in May, downtown Carthage was transformed into the World War II era as the Tennessee Maneuvers Remembered event was held. Encampments were held in the grassy area beside the Catholic Church and Cordell Hull Bridge. Exhibits were on display at the courthouse, Rose Room, basement of the county library and local chapter of the American Legion. Some participants traveled hundreds of miles to participate in the day-long event.
