SMITH UTILITY DISTRICT PUBLIC NOTICE Smith Utility District is currently making the needed preparations to perform aggressive fl ushing of all distribution lines in the system. These preparations include the examination of fi re hydrants in the distribution system. This examination will require the fi re hydrants to be opened fully, in order to check for proper fl ow. This preparation will cause an unwanted discoloration to the water. This preparation work is on-going through November 30th, 2024. During the week of December 2, 2024 through December 5, 2024, between the hours of 10 pm and 4 am, there will be areas in the District’s system with low water pressure due to the high amount of fl ushing needed to scour the lines.
