The Town of Carthage will be conducting a PUBLICHEARING on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 5:45 p.m. CST, at Town Hall, 314 Spring Street, Carthage, TN 37030, to provide information about the Town’s Water and Sewer Utilities Fund application for a Clean Water State Revolving Fund Loan (SRF) with Principal Forgiveness, Project ID CW21 2025-499/Infl ow and Infi ltration Correction. The amount approved for borrowing is $2,700,000 with a maximum of $540,000 (20% of Total Principal Borrowed) in Principal Forgiveness. The purpose of this SRF is to rehabilitate approximately 20,000 Linear Feet (LF) of sewer lines by method of trenchless Cured-in-Place-Pipe Lining (CIPP) and associated manholes. This project is a result of the Town’s Infl ow and Infi ltration (I&I) study completed in Fiscal Year 2022/2023. There will be no resulting impact on monthly sewer bill rates for this project.
