Obit – Mr. Garry Graham
Bagdad Community farmer, Mr. Garry Graham, was pronounced deceased at 8:11 a.m. Friday morning February 7, 2025 at the Highpoint Health – Riverview Emergency Room after becoming gravely ill while driving on Salt Lick Road.
Edward L. Anderson officiated funeral services Wednesday afternoon February 12th at 1 p.m. at the Hackett Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Gene Butler Cemetery in Brooks Bend.
Born Garry Raymond Graham at the former McFarland Hospital in Lebanon on November 6, 1956, he was the middle child of two daughters and the only son of Mrs. Mildred Mae Cook Graham of Hartsville and Alonzo Raymond Graham who died at the age of 74 on May 30, 2003.
A sister, Darline Graham Moore preceded him in death on July 18, 2023 at the age of 70.
Surrounded by family and friends, he was united in marriage to the former Brenda Gail Jones, a native of the New Salem Ridge Community on December 17th, 1982. Brenda is currently employed by the District Attorney’s office in Carthage.
Mr. Graham attended the Trousdale County High School thru the 11th grade.
He was of the Southern Baptist faith.
Mr. Graham was a devoted farmer, having raised cattle, tobacco, and hay. He enjoyed riding his Kubota side-by-side while feeding and checking cattle and fences.
Later in life, Garry and Brenda acquired a love for traveling and had the opportunity to travel together to all fifty states, Aruba, St. Thomas, Jamaica, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and beyond.”
He was totally devoted to his wife and enjoyed being an outstanding and respected gentleman in the Bagdad and Gladdice Communities.
Surviving in addition to his wife Brenda of just over forty two years and his Mother, Mildred Mae Cook Graham, are four children, Garry Raymond Graham II (Gera) of Wentzville, Missouri, Misti Dawn Graham Brewer (Jim West) of South Carthage, Kristi Diane Graham Watts (Brian Jamison of Palm Harbor, Florida, Kimberly Michelle Graham McQuiston and husband Michael of Baxter; sister, Brenda Graham Gross and husband Darrel of Hartsville; five grandchildren, Trey and Sydney Graham, Gracie Brewer, Mckenzie McQuiston, and Hudson Jamison.
