Obit – Mr. Phil Dillard
Mr. Phil Dillard age 63 of the Turkey Creek Community and Lebanon was pronounced deceased at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday evening March 18, 2025 at his Lindbergh Drive home in Lebanon by a paramedic from the Wilson County E.M.S. division.
Mr. Dillard had pre-arranged to be cremated and that was performed at Cumberland Family Services in Algood.
Memorial services from the Carthage Chaapel of Sanderson Funeral Home were conducted Monday afternoon March 24th at 3 p.m. with Phil’s brother, Lonnie Dillard, delivering the eulogy.
Born Phillip Wayne Dillard on January 23, 1962 in Sayama, Japan, while his father was in military service, he was one of five children, a daughter and four sons, and was the son of the late Alonzo Dillard who died February 8, 1984 at the age of 56 and Jo Helen Green Dillard who died February 7, 2000 at the age of 67.
He was to be a member of the 1980 graduating class at Smith County High School and instead opted for his General Education Degree.
For twenty-three years Mr. Dillard was an employee of the William L. Bonnell Company in Gordonsville and in 2001 left the company to form his own company, Dillard Industrial Services, which performed industrial maintenance for factories.
Mr. Dillard was baptized at and joined the Linwood Pentecostal Church in the Linwood Community of Wilson County in 2024.
Surviving are his two children, Phillip Ryan Dillard and wife Kyria of the Allons Community in Overton County, Ethan Uriah Dillard and wife Jessica of White House; sister, Ellen Newton of Marietta, Georgia; three brothers, Lonnie Dillard and wife Patti of Watertown, John David Dillard and wife Renee of Marysville, Ohio, Mike Dillard of Gainesville, Georgia; eight grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
