Obit – Mr. David Lee Hunt

Mr. David Lee Hunt, age 71, of the Brush Creek Community of Smith County passed away on Tuesday September 9, 2025.

David was born on December 23, 1953 in Carthage, TN a son of the late Hugh Edwin Hunt and Cora Harrison Hunt. He was a graduate of Smith County High School. He married Judy Ann Bunch on May 29, 1973 . He worked and retired from the Zinc Mine after 30 + years. David loved working on old cars.

David is survived by his wife: Judy Bunch Hunt of Brush Creek, TN: one son, Shannon (Connie) Hunt of Brush Creek, TN: grandchildren: Martina Andersen, Peyton (Drake) McLain, Joy Beth Hunt; great-grandchildren, Andersen Hall, Anthony McLain; brother, Charles Edwin Hunt; best friend, Ricky Watts.

David was at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes where funeral services were conducted on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11 AM with Bro Kerry Dugan officiating. Interment followed in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
