Obit – Evvy Kayte Ray
Evvy Kayte Ray met our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at the age of 9. Evvy was born July 5, 2016 to Dusty and Amanda Ray. She was diagnosed at 2 years old with BPAN, a neurodegenerative disease.
Evvy met every challenge with bravery and resilience. Although she endured more than most could ever imagine, she managed to keep her happy smiles and loving personality through it all. She had the most big beautiful brown eyes and a smile that could melt your heart. She taught her family the true meaning of strength, joy, unconditional love, and acceptance.
Evvy was preceded in death by paternal grandfather; Pat Ray.
Evvy is deeply loved and will be forever cherished by her parents, Dusty and Amanda Ray. Brothers; Mason Holladay and Lincoln Ray. Paternal grandmother; Sandra Ray. Maternal grandparents; Retta (Royal) Howard and Michael Kennedy. Uncles and Aunts; Tina (Michael) Driver and Andrew (Keisha) Kennedy. Nurse and special family friend; Elizabeth Pendergrast.
Dusty and Amanda would like to thank every single family member, friend, doctor, nurse, therapist, and teacher that ever helped take care of Evvy. We hold a special place in our hearts for each and every one of you.
A special thanks to everyone at Gordonsville Church for all of your prayers, love, and support over the years. We are so blessed to be a part of this church family.
