Obit – Ms. Donna Jane Tramel Davis
Ms. Donna Jane Tramel Davis age 81, of Alexandria, TN passed away Thursday October 16, 2025.
Ms. Davis was born on July 27, 1944, a daughter of the late Johnie Shade Tramel and Burkette Lorene Davis Tramel. She graduated from Liberty High School, Liberty, TN and received her bachelors degree in education from Tennessee Tech University. She taught in the DeKalb County School system, three years at Alexandria Elementary School an then at DeKalb West School before retiring after 42 years. She loved clogging and was a member of Cripple Creek Cloggers International. She was an avid bird watcher and had several bluebird houses. She raised monarch butterflies, tagged and released them.
Ms. Davis is survived by three sons: Robert Todd Davis of Alexandria, TN. Don Wesley Davis of Lebanon, TN and John Eric “Will” Davis of Alexandria, TN; grandchildren Johnna Davis and Aubreyonna Davis.
Ms. Davis is at the Avant Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted on Sunday October 19, 2025 at 3PM. Interment followed in Hillview Memorial Cemetery, Alexandria, TN.
