Obit – Mrs. Kay Marie Woods

Mrs. Kay Marie Woods, age 79, of Lebanon, TN passed away on Wednesday December 10, 2025.

Kay was born October 16, 1946 in Spangler, Cambria County, PA, daughter of the late Edward Emerson Goss and Twilla Elizabeth Bottenhorn Goss. She was also predeceased by husband, Larry Lee Woods: daughters, Darleen Marie Woods and Stormie Elaine Woods: son, Walter Lee “Wally” Woods: sister, Judith Marion “Judy” Arford. Kay was Baptist and had worked at the Waffle House in Gordonsville, TN for 19 years.

To know Kay was to love her. She was full of life and spunky. She never met a stranger. She loved all her friends and customers from her 19 years at the Waffle House.

Kay is survived by a daughter Tammy Ann Woods of Lebanon, TN; sisters, Ann DeBanks of Carthage, TN, Gretta Moyer of PA and Jeanne Peel of PA; grandson Kolby Woods-Josie Heenan; several cousins nieces and nephews.

Kay is at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date by the Woods family.

Kay’s family request memorial donations in her name be made to Bass Funeral Home, P. O. Box 248, Gordonsville, TN 38563 to help with funeral expenses.
