Obit – Mr. Billy Dulworth

Mr. Billy Dulworth of Carthage was discovered deceased at his Walton Avenue home on Tuesday afternoon January 6, 2026 and was pronounced deceased at the Highpoint Health – Riverview @ Ascension Saint Thomas Emergency Room at 4:15 that afternoon. Mr. Dulworth was 73.

Mr. Dulworth was at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Graveside services were conducted on Thursday morning January 8th at 10 a.m. Burial followed in section five at the Ridgewood Cemetery.

The last surviving of seven children of the late Walter Freeman “Big Daddy” Dulworth who died April 30, 1995 at the age of 73 and Lillie Mae Ellis Dulworth who died August 2, 1962 at the age of 47, he was born Billy Edward Dulworth in Celina in Clay County, Tennessee on February 2, 1952.

The six siblings preceding him in death were Emma Ruth “Ruthie” Dulworth Nesbitt who died February 22, 2022 at the age of 68, Martha Lucille Dulworth who died December 23, 2000 at the age of 44, Zelda Mae Dulworth Brown who died December 22, 2004 at the age of 54, Barbara Lou Dulworth who died September 23, 1949 at birth, Walter T. Dulworth who died June 15, 2018 at the age of 70, Charlie Herman Goad who died November 20, 1987 at the age of 53.

Mr. Dulworth was a retired brick & block mason.

He is survived by seven children, Willis Dulworth and wife Ariana of Jonesville, Louisiana, Kristina Rowe and husband Danny, Kelsey Dulworth, and Krystal Dulworth all of Lafayette, Louisiana, Melinda Sue Day and husband Michael of Texas, Lilly Dulworth and Billy Dulworth Jr. both of Indiana.
