Obit – Mrs. Florence Ann Anstis Walper

Mrs. Florence Ann Anstis Walper, age 77, of Lancaster, TN, a friend of God, passed away on Monday March 30, 2026.

Ann was born on March 29, 1949, in West Palm Beach, Florida, daughter of the late Edward H. Anstis and Mary Chambliss Anstis. She was also preceded by two brothers: James H. Anstis and William Anstis. She was married to Leslie G. Walper on March 21, 1985. She graduated from Palm Beach High School and Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in nursing. She retired from Smith County Memorial Hospital on December 15, 2000. Ann was a theologian and creative artist who loved weaving, cooking and baking homemade bread. Ann was a member of The Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Ann is survived by her husband: Leslie G. Walper of Lancaster, TN; son, Clayton M. Anstis of Lancaster, TN; grandchildren, Jim Anstis and Hagan Anstis.

Ann was at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes. Graveside services and interment were held on Wednesday April 1, 2026 at 2PM at the Cripps Cemetery, Lancaster, TN, with Pastor Dennis Clark officiating. Friends and family gathered at the cemetery just prior to the 2PM graveside service.
