Obit – Ms. Chelsea Elizabeth Pirtle

Chelsea Elizabeth Pirtle, age 24, of Carthage, TN, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026.

Ms. Pirtle was born October 3, 2001 in Carthage, TN, a daughter of Wesley David Pirtle and Tara Lynn Runnells Pirtle. She was preceded in death by Grandmothers; Flora “Flo” Mabery Runnells and Ginger Duchow Pirtle. Ms. Pirtle was a member of the South Carthage Missionary Baptist Church.

Chelsea is survived by Parents; Wesley and Tara Runnells Pirtle of Carthage, TN, Siblings; Lexie Wade of Carthage, TN and Ethan Pirtle of Lafayette, TN. Significant other; Jessie Sevier of Carthage, TN. Grandparents; David Runnells of Carthage, TN, and Wayne Pirtle of Nashville, TN.

Funeral services for Ms. Pirtle were conducted from the Carthage Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 3PM with Eld. David Silcox officiating. Interment followed in the Smith County Memorial Gardens.

The family requests memorials be made to assist with funeral expenses.
