Obit – Mr. Bob Bowen
Mr. Bob Bowen, age 66 of the Granville Community, was pronounced deceased on arrival at 5:32 a.m. at the Highpoint-Health Riverview with Ascension St. Thomas Medical Center in Carthage on Monday morning, Memorial Day, May 25, 2026. He was discovered unresponsive by his wife at their home.
Mr. Bowen is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where a memorial celebration of life will be observed in the Rose Room at 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon June 4th with a family member delivering the eulogy.
He was one of six children, four sons and two daughters. His parents were the late Fred Eugene Bowen and Michiko Hidome Bowen. He was born Robert William Bowen on March 21, 1960 in Royal Oak in Oakland County, Michigan. Mr. Bowen was a 1978 graduate of Camden Central High School in Camden, Tennessee and attended Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville.
In New Boston, Texas on September 28, 1985, He was united in marriage to Texas native, the former Brenda Joyce Lawrence.
Mr. Bowen was a Baptist.
He was retired as site manager for the I. E. N. G. Design Corporation headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, design and builders of power plants all over the United States.
The Bowen family relocated to the Granville Community from Milton, Kentucky in 2002.
Surviving in addition to his wife Brenda of over forty years are their two children, Ryo Zayn Bowen of Hopkins, Minnesota, Amber Bowen Daep and husband Allan of La Grange, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Lheya Daep, Bella Daep, Ethan Daep, and Adrianna Daep all of LaGrange, Kentucky; two sisters, Trish Travis of Murfreesboro, Nancy Riggs and husband David of Bruceton, Tennessee; three brothers, Pat Bowen and wife Elana of Jasper, Tennessee, Fred Bowen of Cookeville, and Greg Bowen and wife Dawn of Dickson.
