swineaMrs. Louise Williams Swinea, age 98, of Castalian Springs, TN, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016.

Mrs. Swinea was born June 19, 1918 in Smith County, TN, the daughter of the late Edgar Williams and Dora Mai Stewart. She married Edward Merle Swinea on November 3, 1945 and he preceded her in death on March 6, 2007. Mrs. Swinea was also preceded in death by Brothers; James D. Williams, J.B. Williams, Pete Williams, Roy Williams, and John Williams. Sisters; Mattie West and Marie Keaton. Mrs. Swinea worked at the DuPont Cellophane Plant for 25 years.

Mrs. Swinea is survived by Daughter; Mai Nell (Cecil) Reed Hardaway. Grandchildren; Terrell E. (Lisa) House, Carol (Leslie) Pruitt, and Clayton (Selena) House. Great-Grandchildren; Billy (Carrie) House, Terri (Brian) Ketterman, Christopher K. Tyler, John E. Pruitt, Stacy House, and Cory House. Step-Great Granddaughter; Marli (Rudy) Garcia. Nine Great-Great Grandchildren, two great-great-great grandsons, and one great-great-great granddaughter also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Swinea are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 1PM with Bro. Jerry Peace and Bro. Darrell Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery.

Visitation with the Swinea family will be held at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Tuesday from 4PM until 8PM and again on Wednesday after 11AM until the time of the service at 1PM.
