OBIT: Mr. Rodney Schwartz Of The Salt Lick Community
Mr. Rodney Schwartz, of the Salt Lick Creek Community in Jackson County, died at the age of 81 at the Riverview Regional Medical Center on Sunday morning December 17, 2017 at 11:48 a.m. He had been a patient since December 14th.
Graveside services and interment were Tuesday afternoon December 19th at 2 p.m. from the Gene Butler Cemetery in the Brooks Bend Community.
Born Rodney Lee Schwartz in Hamburg in Erie County, New York, he was one of five children of the late William F. Schwartz and Elenora Newell Schwartz.
Preceding Mr. Schwartz in death was a son, Todd Schwartz and a brother, Peter Schwartz.
Mr. Schwartz was a retired homebuilder and following retirement moved to Bradenton, Florida. Then in 2006 he purchased a farm on Salt Lick Creek in the Gladdice Community.
He was a communicant of the Catholic Church.
He graduated in 1954 from the Hamburg High School in Hamburg, New York.
Surviving are six children, Amy Schwartz Riggins and husband Duane of LaVergne, Connie Higgins of Oregon, Becky Schwartz of Wyoming, Ty Schwartz of Tennessee, Rod Schwartz and wife Jeanette of Eagle, Arkansas, Darrin Schwartz of Palmer, Arkansas; sister, Beverly Schwartz of Florida; two brothers, Billy Schwartz and wife Linda of Virginia, Wayne Schwartz of Florida; seven grandchildren.
