Dr. David Gordon Bearden, a man of few words, but one who has so greatly impacted the life of so many. Born in 1954 in the quiet town of DeLand, FL to Colonel John and Hazel Bearden, David was the youngest of four. Born with blonde hair and brown eyes, David grew up an active child. Throughout high school he enjoyed playing football and surfing amongst many other sports. Following high school, he made the decision to move to Iowa to attend Palmer Chiropractic College, and soon thereafter began his career as a chiropractor. Growing up, he attended Stetson Baptist Church in DeLand, FL where he had the privilege of meeting his wife Tamarah “Tammy” Blevins. After a short courtship he made the decision to ask her to be his wife. While enjoying their time as husband and wife, they then decided to have their first child, Angela. Following her birth, David and Tammy made the move to Carthage, TN where they then had another daughter named Shelby. Although back and forth from Tennessee to Florida, David remained strong in his faith and built a stronger and stronger relationship in his love of Christ. While hunting or fishing, he often said he felt closest to the Lord in the quiet of his kingdom. Serving the poor, hurting, and the church was always a passion and devotion for him. To know him, was to truly love him.
He was a devoted member and deacon of Living Stones Community Church.
He was preceded in death by: parents John Gant & Hazel Trawick Bearden; and brother-in-law, Wilbur Duffey.
