Ms. Tesha Gooch

Ms. Tesha Gooch, a special needs young lady from birth, succumbed to her illness at the Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage with her mother, who had loving cared for her throughout her life, at her bedside. Tesha’s life came to an end at 3:43 p.m. Wednesday afternoon November 28, 2018 following 27 years, 6 months and 3 days upon this earth.

She was admitted to the facility on Sunday morning November 25th suffering from, bronchitis.

Funeral services from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home were conducted by her pastor, Bro. Doug Dillard assisted by Bro. Howard Thurman on Monday afternoon December 3rd at 1 p.m. Burial followed in Circle Park at Smith County Memorial Gardens.

Tesha was born Latesha Marie Gooch at the former McFarland Hospital in Lebanon on May 25, 1991 and was the daughter Janie Holland Gooch Robinson of Carthage and the late Tommy Lee Gooch Sr. who died as the result of an automobile accident in Carthage on February 27, 2005 at the age of 44.

She was a non-denominational Christian and her family attends the Lighthouse Church on Grant Highway in the New Middleton Community.

Tesha was a 2013 graduate of the Special Education class at Smith County high School.

Surviving in addition to her mother and her mother’s fiancée Rick Evans are two sisters, Lori Faustina and husband Matt of the Kempville Community, Leslie Barlow and fiancée Andrew Brake of the Pleasant Shade Community; two brothers, Tommy Gooch Jr and Jesse Peters and wife Ashton all of Carthage.

The family requests memorials to assist with the funeral expenses.
