Pregnancy Resource Center; Non-profit provides multitude of free services

The Pregnancy Resource Center of Smith County offers a wide range of free services for those expecting to become a mom or dad.

The faith-based, non-profit center is open to all individuals, serving families from prenatal to age two.

Located at 108 College Avenue in Carthage, the non-profit’s mission is to offer hope during challenging situations and equip clients with the tools to choose the best decision for themselves and their families.

Free services provided at the Pregnancy Resource Center include: pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds to confirm pregnancy, prenatal vitamins, community referrals to help with food and other needs, online classes to provide education on a wide variety of topics, options for counseling provided with compassionate care and honest information.

The center can also assist in providing essentials needed for newborns such as diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, clothes and other needs.

In addition, the agency provides post-abortion counseling to those who have previously had an abortion.

One of the main objectives of the center is to empower clients by providing them with accurate information, free services and practical support with a holistic and compassionate approach allowing them to make informed decisions for themselves and their future.

While the center is faith-based it is open to all individuals.

Staff members include Director Martha Hinton; Allison Swiech client advocate/receptionist; Colleen Price MSN, BN/ultrasound; Gabby Bartlett social media specialist; Megan Nesbitt data entry and Gary Hinton mens services and chaplain.
