Four suspects detained by police

Carthage police detained four male subjects wanted by the Lafayette Police Department for questioning in connection with multiple incidents of fraudulent check cashing in Macon.
Around 3 p.m., Friday, local law enforcement received a “be on the look out” (bolo) for a black SUV occupied by four male subjects.
The four individuals were wanted for questioning in connection with fraudulent check cashing at banks and Walmart in Lafayette.
The individuals were suspected to be on their way from Lafayette to Virginia.
After receiving the bolo, Carthage Officer John Baiera set up at the Carthage city limits on Highway 25 when he saw a vehicle matching the description of the bolo with four male subjects inside.
