Obit – Mrs. Marilyn Perry

Mrs. Marilyn Perry of the Gladdice Community was pronounced deceased at 7:51 p.m. Monday evening November 24, 2025 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center where she was admitted Monday afternoon November 8th where she was being treated for septic shock. Mrs. Perry was 86. 

Mrs. Perry, at her request, was cremated and that was performed at the Cumberland Family Services in Algood following the daughter and son-in-law making cremation arrangements at the Hackett Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home in the Kempville Community.

There will be no services locally.

She was born Marilyn June Sutter in Rochester in Monroe County, New York on January 27, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Earl and Loretta Sutter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Royce A. Perry who died at the age of 69 on November 26, 2004.

Mrs. Perry was a homemaker and a hospital Candy Striper for many years.

She resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Linda Wells and Husband Todd of the Gladdice Community; two grandchildren, Todd Wells Jr. and wife Bonnie of Oswego, New York, Bridget Burke of Cookeville; ten grandchildren, Jason Burke Jr. Jaiden, Jaxcen, Breanna, and Brooklyn Burke, David Wells, Sarah, Abigail and Hannah Wills.
