Obit – Ms. Shirley Ruth Young Simono

Ms. Shirley Ruth Young Simono, age 83 of Chestnut Mound, TN passed away Friday June 7, 2024.

Ms. Simono was born April 26, 1941 in Buffalo Valley, TN a daughter of the late Frank Young and Mary Alice Maddux Young. She was also preceded in death by three daughters: Sharlinda Maxwell, Sandra Maxwell and Cynthia Balough; siblings, Gerald Young, Charles Young, Kenneth Young, and Marie Gross.

Ms. Simono is survived by her companion Donald Gross of Chestnut Mound, TN; daughter: Tristen Nichols of Chestnut Mound, TN; son: Tommy Dale Maxwell of KY; granddaughter, Jessica Thackxton of Chestnut Mound, TN and a sister Carolyn Young of Baxter, TN

At her request graveside gathering and interment for Ms. Simono was conducted by the Carthage Chapel of Bass Funeral Home on Monday June 10, 2024 at 2 PM at the Gross Family Cemetery in the Chestnut Mound, Tn community.

Family and friends of Ms. Simono gathered at the cemetery just prior to the 2 PM graveside Interment.
