Obit – Mr. Ren Coker
Mr. Ren Coker of Cookeville was pronounced deceased at the age of 27 at 9:05 a.m. Sunday morning September 8, 2024 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center Emergency Room after being discovered unresponsive earlier that morning at his Choate Cemetery Road home.
Edward L. Anderson officiated at the 3 p.m. Fridy afternoon September 13th funeral services from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Burial will be private at the Ridgewood Cemetery in Section three between his aunt and grandfather.
He was born Ren Skyler Coker at the former Carthage General Hospital in South Carthage on January 7, 1997 and is survived by his mother, Amy Leni Jenkins Hunt and husband Trey of the New Middleton Community and his father, Bobby Coker and wife Kim of Carthage.
He was preceded in death by aunt, Holly Nicole Jenkins Minchey on October 26, 2003 who died at the age of 25 while undergoing surgery, by his grandfather, retired longtime Middle Tennessee Natural Gas service man, Thomas Gordon Jenkins, who died at the age of 70 on March 25, 2024.
Mr. Coker was employed in assembly in the automotive industry.
Surviving in addition to his parents and step-parents is his sister, Ariel Coker and fiancée Brian Martin and her son Zayden Rowlett of Gordonsville; grandmother, Barbara Woodard Jenkins of the Rome Community; step-sisters, Brettaney Green and husband Lane and their son, Carter Green all of the Brush Creek Community, Brylee Hunt of Smithville; step-brother, Brady Hunt and wife Mallory of the Tanglewood Community; step-sister, Claudia Van Auken and husband Lucas and their children, Malakai and Oliver.
