Obit – Mr. Jeff Knox Sr.
Mr. Jeff Knox Sr. of the Brush Creek Community passed peacefully at the St. Thomas Mid-Town Hospital in Nashville at 7:24 p.m. Tuesday evening December 3, 2024 where he was undergoing cardiac care. Mr. Knox was 71.
Cremations arrangements were made at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home and he was cremated at the Cumberland Family Services in Algood.
The Knox family will hold a private family memorial service at their Switchboard Road home when his only son, Jeff Jr. with the United States Navy, returns from sea duty.
Jeff Sr. was the son of the late U. S. Navy Korean War veteran John Robert “Jack” Knox who died October 5, 2020 at the age of 90 and Shirley Ann Wester Knox who died June 6, 2006 at the age of 74 and Jeff was born in Columbus in Franklin County, Ohio on May 18, 1953.
Mr. Knox was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Knox.
In London, Ohio on November 3, 1984, he was united in marriage to Houston, Texas native, the former Colleen Ann Glick.
Mr. Knox was a retired carpentry foreman and was the supervisor of the construction of many K-Mart and Dress Barn stores across the Eastern United States.
He was of the Methodist belief.
The Knox family moved from Columbus, Ohio to the Norene Community of Wilson County in 1991 and in 1998 purchased a home and relocated to the Brush Creek Community.
Surviving in addition to his wife Colleen of over forty years is their son, Jeffrey Lynn Knox Jr. and wife Megan of San Diego, California; three grandchildren, Angel Knox of South Carolina, Delaney Knox of San Diego, and Ben Knox of Minnesota; sister, Tammy Knox Fannin and husband Doug of West Jefferson, Ohio.
