GIRLS BASKETBALL POSTSEASON UPDATE
GIRLS BASKETBALL POSTSEASON UPDATE: The Smith County High Lady Owls (22-8) basketball team fell in the District 5-2A championship game last night against 2A power York, 54-19. The Lady Owls will host their Region 3-2A quarterfinal tilt against District 6-2A No. 3 seed White House Heritage. The Lady Owls and Lady Patriots will square off Friday night (February 28) at Bill Landreth Gym in Carthage. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
The Gordonsville Tigerettes (11-17) basketball team placed fourth in District 7-1A with their 68-48 consolation game loss to Clarkrange Monday night. The Tigerettes will travel to East Robertson on Friday night to battle the District 8-1A champions. The Region 4-1A quarterfinal is slated for a 7:00 p.m. start.
