GAINESBORO — The undefeated unit and contender in Class 2A Gordonsville Tigers rolled into their Week Six region test at Jackson County eying their second Region 4-2A win. Big Blue put together one of their most complete and dominant performances of the 2025 season thus far with a 48-7 victory over the Blue Devils.
Gordonsville moved their record to 6-0 while Jackson Co. fell to 3-3. The Blue Devils lost their third straight contest after beginning the year with a three game winning streak.
The Tigers reached the end zone on seven of their eight possessions as the visitors racked up 477 yards of total offense.
Senior quarterback J Foster dissected the Blue Devils’ defense posting 268 yards through the air and registering three passing touchdowns.
“It was a situation offensively, they watched us last week run it and only throw the ball two times — so they are going to start cheating the safeties up and cheating the linebackers up which opens the pass game,” said Gordonsville head coach Stephen Jackson. “I thought we did a great job connecting on those deep passes early on.”
“When that starts, they begin backing up and we were able to complete passes underneath. It was a great night for us offensively.”
