SMITH COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY QUALIFIES

The Smith County High cross country program is celebrating its fifth straight state berth as the Black-and-Gold girls team qualified for its first ever state tournament.
SCHS boys cross country runner Tayden Rigsby posted a personal best at the Chapel Hill Sectional meet with a 19:49 time. The PR netted Rigsby third in the sectional.
The SCHS cross country teams will compete in the Division I A race at Shelby Farms Park in Memphis on Thursday, November 6.
The Boys 5K, with Rigsby, is slated to start at 11:30 a.m. The Girls 5K that features the SCHS girls cross country team will begin at 12:20 p.m.
