Klenke, Margaret “Maggie” a 30-year resident of Lebanon, TN, passed away in Nashville on October 9, 2025, at the age of 80.
Born in Oakland, CA, on September 19, 1945, Maggie grew up in Sacramento, CA. She pursued adventure and success, eventually joining Mountain Bell in the 1970s, where she met her husband. This led to a passion for communications, which culminated in her leadership role as a contact center expert.

She wrote frequently for the industry press and authored five textbooks for the Call Center curriculum. As an advisor to The Society of Workforce Planning Professionals (SWPP) and the Quality Assurance and Training Connection, she co-authored the industry-accepted SWPP certification testing program used globally. Known as the “Workplace Wizard,” she answered challenging questions from members.
From 1987-1999, Maggie served as Vice President of Consulting at TCS Management Group, developing a call center curriculum that became a premier training program for call center professionals.
An honors graduate of Loretto Heights College (now Regis University), Maggie was one of the first to receive the CIAC certification as a Call Center Management Consultant. She also served as an examiner for the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence, a statewide program of the national Malcolm Baldrige Awards.
Maggie is survived by her son, Kent Dyer; two brothers, Alan Klug (Sandi) of Ft. Collins, CO and Christopher Klug (Lisa) of Gainesville, FL; and a large circle of family and friends.
Donations in her name are encouraged for organizations she held dear: Quilts for Valor, Heifer International, and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
