Owls soccer prepares to compete for a district crown on pitch

The Smith County High Owls soccer swept their District 5-1A regular season competition and are set to host this week’s  district tournament. 

The District 5-1A Tournament is slated for Tuesday May 5th and Thursday May 7th. 

The Black-and-Gold will battle either Cannon County or York in the 5-1A semifinals Tuesday night at the Smith County Soccer Complex. 

The tournament’s other semifinal pits Monterey against Jackson County. 

The District 5-1A title game is scheduled for Thursday, May 7th with the contest slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.

The Owls went 4-0 in against regular season district opponents.
