Obit – Mrs. Donna Sensabaugh

Mrs. Donna Sensabaugh age 86 of South Carthage was discovered unresponsive at her Reynolds Street home on Thursday morning August 28, 2026 shortly after 11 a.m. by her daughter Diana. She was pronounced deceased at 11:50 a.m. at the Highpoint Health – Riverview with Ascension St. Thomas Emergence Department in Carthage.

Bro. Tim Frank of First Baptist Church Carthage, is scheduled to conduct the 11 a.m. Thursday September 3rd funeral services from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Burial will follow beside her husband in the Garden of Peace at the Smith County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive family and friends beginning at 3 p.m. Wednesday September 2nd until 7 p.m. and again on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service.

She was born Donna Lee Lieser on October 6, 1939 in Downers Grove, a Chicago, Illinois suburb and was the fourth of five children born to the late Herbert Lieser and Lillian Sadler Lieser.

She was united in marriage on March 22, 1958 in Orlando, Mississippi to Brownsville, Tennessee native, George William Sensabaugh Jr. He preceded her in death at the age of 75 on April 29, 2010.

Before her 1989 retirement she was an assembly line worker for Graft Technology in Crystal Lake, IL.

Mrs. Sensabaugh was of the Southern Baptist faith.

Surviving is her six children, John Sensabaugh of McHenry, Illinois, Diana Sensabaugh Bush and husband Randy of South Carthage, Ricky Sensabaugh of McHenry, IL, Roger Sensabaugh and wife Teresa of South Carthage, Jamie Sensabaugh and wife Angela of McHenry, IL, Robert Sensabaugh and wife April of Gallatin; sister, Barbara Skogsberg of Janesville, Wisconsin; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-great-grandchildren.
