Mrs. Martha Lamberson, age 83, of Defeated Creek and longtime resident of Temperance Hall, died Tuesday evening, October 25 at Kindred Healthcare in Carthage. She is survived by: daughter, Sandra Martin and husband Jackie of Defeated Creek; 2 grandchildren, Jason Martin and wife Kelli of Defeated Creek, Neely Oldham and husband Matt of Defeated Creek; great-grandchildren, Eli, Ty and Riley Martin, Jackson and Cassie Oldham; 3 sisters, Drucy Mai Midgett , Mary Louise House, Haley Jewel House, all of Smithville; 3 brothers, Billy Freeman House and wife Susan of Smithville, Leland Carter House and wife Sue of Alexandria, Douglas Patton House and wife Dinah of Liberty.
Mrs. Lamberson is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted on Friday morning, October 28 at 11:00 AM. Bro. Jimmy Gregory will officiate. Interment in the Gordonsville Cemetery. Active pallbearers are: Jason Martin, Eli Martin, Matt Oldham, Jackson Oldham, Phillip Willoughby, and Harold Leath. Honorary pallbearers are: Nancy Hackett, Mary Massey, Wanda Price, Dianna Dillehay, Suzanne Tisdale, Teresa Clay, Melanie Smith, Janie Thompson, Pat Bush, Tina Dobbins, June Nabors and Lois Page.
Visitation will begin on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
The family has requested memorials to the Easton Goad Foundation or Peytons Creek Baptist Church.
